Those who are familiar with Rome appreciate the neighbourhood of the Pantheon. This old temple dedicated 'to all the gods' which has been built by the Emperor Hadrian between 118 and 125 AD on the Campus Martius is currently the oldest standing domed structure in Rome. For more than 1600 years this was the largest cupola of the world regarding it's inner size. In 609 the Byzantine emperor Phocas gave the building to Pope Boniface IV, who converted it into a Christian church and consecrated it to Santa Maria ad Martyres, now known as Santa Maria dei Martiri.
The apartment is located close to the Pantheon in a cross street from Piazza della Rotonda. It is just a few steps from Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi and the Spanish Steps. The Campo dei Fiori is in a few minutes walking distance.
The large apartment is on the 4th floor (with elevator). The remarkable furnishings and paintings reveal a taste for art and beauty. Most of the rooms have tall double glazed windows providing natural day-light as well as a great view on the old roman roofs. The master bedroom has a jacuzi bathtub. In the 5th floor you find a communal terrace for all guests of the house with a spectacular view of the Pantheon and the city of Rome.
