The villa has been built in the 7th century upon an authentic Carolingian fortress characterized by a stone structure dating back to the 8th century. With an enviable hillside position right in the heart of an estate of olive groves and cypresses (6
hectares), the villa is the ideal retreat for people loving an absolute privacy and contemplation of a stunning panorama over the valley of Lucca.
The main villa (about 950 sqmts), set on four floors, boasts spacious living areas, large panoramic windows, stone fireplaces and superb ancient frescoes accurately restored. The precious antique furniture and the delicacy of décor, make of this villa an unique example of ancient living combined with modern refinement. All 8 double bedded rooms, most of them with en-suite bathroom, are superbly styled and furnished and offer a breathtaking view up on the hills and the valley.
For al fresco dining barbecue, wrought-iron table and chairs are placed on the frontal terraced garden allowing guests to have dinner while watching the sunset over the valley and Lucca beyond.
The driveway lined with cypress trees, a frontal garden with terrace and a large floodlit swimming pool contribute to the enchantment of this delightful and historic home.
The annex dependence (about 400 sqmts) and the antique chapel have been recently restored and host up to 8 guests (with 4 double bedded room with en-suite bathrooms).
The whole property can host up to 24 guests.

cancellation:

Bookings cancelled 16 weeks prior to arrival are subject to a 50% cancellation charge. Bookings cancelled 90 days prior to arrival (ie at the time final balance of payment is due) are subject to a 100% cancellation charge. As all payments are non-refundable we would recommend to purchase your own travel insurance. The property owner and staff are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage to persons or personal property whilst staying at Villa near Lucca 164.
