Once an olive press used by villagers to press their yearly harvest, the country house is surrounded by beautiful terraced olive groves. Its recent renovation has converted this charming structure into a comfortable home offering views across the swimming pool and down the valley towards the medieval walled town of Lucca. Inside it has maintained its rustic character, with original terracotta tiles and wooden beamed ceilings throughout. On the first floor is a fully equipped Tuscan kitchen with dining area, and a spacious lounge with sofas and armchairs, a music system, satellite TV and a small office area with computer, internet access and a printer, fax and phone. On the second floor are four bedrooms, each with its own brand-new en-suite bathroom. From the garden the guests can access a delightful brick-vaulted wine cellar that has been converted into an informal dining room — the perfect venue for your own private wine and cheese tasting evening. For al fresco dining, a wrought-iron table and chairs with large umbrellas are placed on the lawns, allowing guests to dine while watching the sunset over the valley and Lucca beyond.
