Also enticing: a boat trip on the Rhine along the romantic Rhine road and lined by castles and fortresses.
The nearby city Bonn offers visitors a multitude of interesting museums, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Museum of the History of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Beethoven House. During the annual Bonn Beethoven festivals in autumn, world famous musicians perform in Bonn and the surrounding area.
