Apartment in Rome - etia no.: 112
This charming apartment is located in the heart of the historical center just behind Piazza Navona and a few minutes walking distance to the Pantheon.
Description:
Piazza Navona is surely one of the most beautifully baroque sites in all Rome. It's this ocher-colored gem, unspoiled by new buildings or even by traffic. In 1644 Bernini and Borromini constructed the colossal Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, symbolizing the four corners of the world: the Danube, the Nile, the Ganges, and the Rio de la Plata.
Vicolo di Monte Vecchio is a cross street from Via dei Coronari, home of Rome's antiques dealers. It's also near the church of Santa Maria della Pace, Rome's most delightful little architectural stage sets. It has Raphael's frescoes of the Sibyls and Baramante's cloister which is the very first expression of High Renaissance style in Rome.
It is a splendid restored 14th century building which has an open courtyard with a pending old lantern surrounded by period style marble columns. The apt. is on the 2nd floor (no elevator).
facilities:
Warm and bright living room with 2 white sofas and built-in library, kitchen, bright bedroom and bathroom with white tiles.
The interior is graced with exposed wooden beams on the ceiling and hardwood floor.
The apartment is tastefully furnished with the owner's personal touches.
The price 2008:
1200 Euro/week incl. linen, towels and final cleaning.
